21 November 2024 – Women in Marketing Africa (WiM Africa) is thrilled to celebrate the incredible achievements of its community members at the 14th Annual Global WiM Awards 2024, held on Wednesday, 20 November. The awards spotlighted some of the most talented women in marketing, advertising, and creativity, and this year, African excellence took centre stage.
Creative Marketer of the Year Award – Winner
Best Leader in Marketing - Brand
Ifeoma Jibunoh – Highly Commended
Judges praised Ifeoma’s expansive leadership portfolio and her global impact, commending her innovative campaigns and ability to unite high-performing teams. Her competency programme for team development stood out as a shining example of her commitment to nurturing talent and driving continuous education.
Cynthia Torto – Commended
Cynthia’s submission impressed the panel with its confident and cohesive approach to leading a substantial team. Judges highlighted her focus on creating an inclusive organizational culture, as seen in the Smiling Stars case study, which celebrated cultural diversity within Shell. Cynthia’s role in spearheading socially impactful innovations, such as the e-mobility rebrand, was also lauded.
Special Award for Outstanding Contribution to Marketing – Agency
This year’s awards were a powerful showcase of African excellence, highlighting the creativity, leadership, and resilience of women from across the continent and the diaspora. “The WiM Awards 2024 demonstrated the incredible impact African talent is making on a global scale,” said Andrea Djan-Krofa, Founder of Women in Marketing Africa. “We’re so proud of these women, who are not just thriving in their fields but also breaking barriers and paving the way for others.”
