Announcing the Winners of the WiM Africa Cannes Lions ERA Pass 2025

When we opened up entries for the first ever Women in Marketing (WiM) Africa Cannes Lions ERA Pass, we hoped to see Africa’s marketing, advertising and communications talent shine, and they did not disappoint.

We received an incredible range of heartfelt, inspiring submissions from women across the continent. The passion, creativity, and drive in every video reminded us why our mission at WiM Africa matters so much: Africa’s marketing and creative talent deserves to be seen, celebrated, and championed on the world’s biggest stages.

Choosing just three winners was far from easy. Every single entry had merit, and we want to applaud all who took the time, energy, and bravery to put yourselves forward. The levels of talent and ambition made this an incredibly tough decision, and we truly hope to see many try again next year, when we aim to offer even more passes and greater support.

Today, we’re thrilled to announce the three winners who will proudly represent WiM Africa at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2025. Congratulations to:

Eniola Ogunmekan, Senior Group Head at Insight Publicis, Nigeria

Eniola’s video really stood out as heartfelt and sincere. We were moved by her drive to share her Cannes Lions learnings to inspire Nigerian excellence and lead others forward. These qualities resonate deeply with WiM Africa’s mission to build leaders who uplift entire communities.

Enniye Timiebi, Consumer Marketing Manager, West Africa at Spotify, Nigeria
Enniye’s story of a defining career moment, and how she turned it into a new, sharper focus truly impressed us. Her sincerity, clarity, and determination captured exactly the spirit we hope WiM Africa women will bring to Cannes and beyond.

Ziada Abeid, Co-founder, Communications & Media Consultant at Crescendo Digital, Tanzania
We loved Ziada’s commitment to uplifting the tourism and hospitality sector in Tanzania, and especially her support for local and women-owned businesses. We are confident that the inspiration she’ll gather at Cannes Lions will ripple out to benefit not only herself and Crescendo Digital, but also the vibrant businesses she champions at home.

We can’t wait to welcome these inspiring women to Cannes Lions this June!

Thank you once again to everyone who entered. Keep watching our newsletters and social media channels - this is only the beginning. WiM Africa is committed to creating even more opportunities to spotlight African excellence on global stages.

See you in Cannes!
